Messy Cabinet
The client’s existing network cabinet had become overcrowded and disorganised, with tangled patch leads, poor labelling, and unmanaged cabling that made maintenance and troubleshooting difficult. The setup posed risks of accidental disconnection, overheating, and network downtime.
There was also no clear separation between power and data cabling, and limited rack space for future expansion.
Our Solution
LWJ Data Services carried out a full network cabinet reorganisation and re-termination project, which included:
- Removing redundant patch leads and equipment.
- Installing a new rack system with properly mounted switches, patch panels, and power management.
- Re-terminating and labelling all data points for ease of identification.
- Implementing structured cable management to ensure neat, efficient routing and improved airflow.
